Hi Eileen! While a size 8.5 shoe often corresponds to a Medium, shoe size alone is not enough to ensure a safe and effective fit for anti-embolism stockings.
To get the correct size, please take the following measurements:
Thigh Circumference: Measure the widest part of your thigh.
Calf Circumference: Measure the widest part of your calf.
Leg Length: Measure from the bottom of your heel to the gluteal crease.
Quick Size Reference
Small: Calf < 12", Thigh < 25"
Medium: Calf 12"–15", Thigh < 25" (Common for size 8.5)
Large: Calf 15"–17.5", Thigh 25"–32"
Length: Choose Short (< 29"), Regular (29"–33"), or Long (> 33") based on your leg measurement.
Thanks,
The Medical Supply Pros Team.
